How far is Berlin Schönefeld Airport away from the centre of town?
How do I get there?
- Straight to Berlin on the RE AirportExpress train from the Berlin Schönefeld railway station.
- Or on S-Bahn lines S9 or S45 from the same station.
- There are no direct buses to the city centre, but buses run to outer districts including Adlershof and Naukölln.
- Prices, distance and heavy traffic mean that taking the trip in a taxi could be expensive.

Interesting factoid about the airport:
Berlin had three main airports: Schönefeld, Tegel and Tempelhof, but all will close permanently in early 2014. In fact, Tempelhof already has. At the same time, the brand new Brandenberg Airport will open (partly) on the same land as Schönefeld, and will be Berlin’s only airport. WOW air will, of course, be there from day one!
